Zell is as he appears in Final Fantasy VIII. He is junctioned to Ifrit and Pandemona (though he may not summon them) and has all of their abilities/passives except for Mad Rush. He only has access to the Fire chain, the Cure chain, and buffs (except Aura and Triple).

Terrain: Tomb of the Unknown King. The home of the GF Brothers, a stony labyrinth teeming with plant growth. Not the most complex of mazes, but potentially disorienting to a first time tomb raider. No enemies or GFs are present and access to the rest of the world is barred.

 

Cafeteria team, collect all the hot dogs and store everything in the secret shelter. Don't leave anything for the enemy. (Start of Battle) - Every four weeks, a preselected enemy merc will learn what it's like to be Zell on a quest for hot dogs. A large pile of hot dogs will be placed in the center of the terrain. The targeted merc will mistakenly believe that the match has been changed into a contest to see which team can recover the most hot dogs, bring them back to their spawn point, and eat them. The merc will continue to believe this, despite any evidence to the contrary, until he has brought at least one hot dog back to his team's spawn point and eaten it (or attempted to eat one, if he cannot eat).

UPGRADES:

(New Trigger; 15 EXP)

Why can't it be ME!? Because I'm a Chicken-wuss!? (Trigger) - If any of Zell's allies participates in a side topic ability, Zell will insist on coming along with them as an assist (if multiple allies are participating, Zell will choose one at random to assist). Any effects the ally experiences from winning/losing the side topic will affect Zell as well. This ability has no recharge if triggered by an enemy ability (and may trigger in this way even if it's on recharge or has already triggered this week), but three weeks of recharge if triggered by an ally ability.

He has access to all magic except for Aura, Demi, Apocalypse, and negative status-inflicting magic.

(New Passive, Trigger; 20 EXP)

Crisis Level (Passive) - Certain events will raise Zell's Crisis Level, as described below. Zell can retain Crisis Level between weeks.
+15 - An enemy above the week's tier level is rostered.
+15 - An ally is hit by an enemy KO/removal ability.
+20 - Zell is hit by a damaging enemy Start of Battle ability.
+10 - One of Zell's allies is hit by a damaging enemy Start of Battle ability.
None of these require Zell to be rostered (except the one where he is hit by a damaging enemy SoB).

Armageddon Fist (Trigger) - Whenever Zell is rostered, he has a Crisis Level% chance to use his Duel limit break against a preselected enemy merc at the start of the battle (rolled and chosen after rosters are revealed). The Duel will last for a number of seconds equal to twice the upkeep of the targeted merc. After using Duel, Zell's Crisis Level goes back down to 0, and this ability goes on a two-week recharge (although Zell may still gain Crisis Level during that time).
