Sorey

Page history last edited by Lopen 8 years ago

Sorey (Tales of Zestiria)
Heroic Male Human
Upkeep: 5/Week
Min Bid: 73 GP

Team: League of Transients (Kanzaris)

Sorey is as he appears in Tales of Zestiria, with all orbs and talismans (though they buff only himself and his seraphim) and an endgame skill build. He enters the battle with 5 Blast Gauges and may armatize freely with his seraphim and during the course of the battle, but armatization cannot be used to revive anyone. He does not have access to Siegfried.

Lailah, Mikleo, Edna and Dezel are accompanying Sorey into battle. They are as they appear in Tales of Zestiria, with an endgame skill build. They will enter battle with 5 Blast Gauges, and will be permanently invisible and inaudible to <HUMAN/BEAST MERCS>. Only one Seraph may be on the battlefield at a time, with <CHOSEN SUBLORD> beginning on the battlefield, and the others dwelling inside him. He may swap between them as seen in the game, and inactive seraphim will heal gradually over time, including from death, but they are considered defeated once Sorey is killed.

Terrain: Artorius' Throne - A vast and convoluted multi-level castle under an ominous red sky. An aura of evil lingers about the place, although Heldalf's domain is not present. The castle contains many different sections that can only be accessed by venturing outside, where broken stone pathways hover precariously in mid-air. All hellions and obstacles have been removed. Access to other game areas is banned.

Customization - Every week, Sorey can choose to have Lailah, Mikleo, Edna, or Dezel accompany him into battle. The entire group is considered one "assist" for Sorey even though only one seraph will join the battle. All four seraphim share a single slot with respect to ability targeting, even before the customization is declared, and this slot is included in random ability pools as long as at least one seraph is a valid target. If the slot is in fact targeted, the ability will hit all seraphim for which the ability is a valid target. Lailah is a Heroic Female Otherworldly; Mikleo is a Heroic Male Otherworldly; Edna is a Neutral Female Otherworldly; and Dezel is a Neutral Male Otherworldly.

Power of Purification (Peacetime) - Once every five weeks, Sorey may make an allied Otherworldly mercenary owned by Sorey's team into Lailah's Sub Lord. This effect lasts until Sorey's current leader loses ownership of Sorey or the Sub Lord. All of the Sub Lord's weapons are enchanted with divine power whenever they fight, and Sorey may armatize with the Sub Lord in battle. There is no limit to how many Sub Lords Lailah may have.

Auto Divinity (Trigger) - If one of the rosterable Sub Lords contracted in Power of Purification is KO'd and Sorey is alive, Sorey will begin battle armatized with the KO'd Sub Lord. The armatized Sorey will inherit all ability effects applied to either mercenary other than the KO, though the same effect won't apply twice. Assists to both mercenaries will become assists to the armatized Sorey as well. This ability triggers in an analogous manner if instead a rosterable Sorey is KO'd but a Sub Lord survives. If multiple Sub Lord armatizations are eligible for this trigger, Sorey's leader may pick one, simultaneous with roster selection. Finally, any abilities that are declared with or after rosters and any Results abilities belonging to either mercenary in the armatization may still be declared if this trigger is used.

UPGRADES:

(Character Upgrade; 15 EXP)

Sorey's seraphim are permanently invisible and inaudible to all humans and beasts, both allies and enemies, except for Sorey. This refers to their Mercs classification and does not apply to those classified as even in part as something other than human or beast. Additionally, the three seraphim not selected by the customization will dwell inside Sorey (or his armatization with a Sub Lord contracted through the Power of Purification ability), and he may swap them with the selected seraph as seen in game. No more than one seraph may be on the battlefield at a time. The three seraphim that start inactive will miss all Start of Battle effects. Inactive seraphim will heal gradually over time, including from death, but they are considered defeated once Sorey is killed.

(New Passive; 10 EXP)

Blessed Domain (Passive) - Sorey and his allies benefit from the spiritual protection of the Shepherd's domain. Sorey, his seraphim, and any additional Sub Lords contracted through the Power of Purification ability are immune to possessions, cannot have their mental state altered in any way, will never be prevented from being rostered if available in Wartime (except by indirect causes such as KO/injury), and will never alter the result of any of their ability uses after declaring them. These protections only apply to enemy ability uses. If Auto Divinity triggers, this ability will be in effect on the armatized Sorey.

(New Start of Battle; 20 EXP)

Lord of the Land (Start of Battle) - Once every three weeks, if Sorey's team wins a terrain bid he may hire the Lord of the Land for the terrain to grant boons to his team. This ability may be declared either during the Wartime ability phase or simultaneously with the terrain bid. Each terrain accessible to Sorey's team keeps a separate tally of points that may be spent on boons, in the following way: one point is granted initially, and for each match that Sorey's team wins on the terrain, another point is granted. Wins begin to award points starting from the week Sorey is purchased. When this ability is used, Sorey's team can choose a combination of boons from the below list with total point cost not exceeding the number of points available. Doing this does not consume the points. No boon may be chosen more than once for the same battle, and prospective boon selections are made simultaneously with the terrain bid. No recharge is incurred if the bid is lost.

1 point:
Healing Air - Healing and regeneration effects on all allies are doubled, and all incurable status effects become curable (including start of battle KO)
Hellion Detection - Sorey is given a magical, self-updating map of the terrain that displays the locations of all enemies
Gald Boost - Sorey's team finds 2 GP after the battle

2 points:
Acceleration of the Mind - Casting speed for all allies is doubled and cooldowns are halved
Protection from the Strong - Allies take 50% reduced damage from enemies that are not eligible for the week's tier
Punishment for the Powerful - Allies deal double damage to enemies that are not eligible for the week's tier

3 points:
Treasure Rarifier - One additional infra is awarded on victory
Merciless to the Weak - Allies that are not eligible for the week's tier deal 33% more damage
Resistant Body - Allies that are not eligible for the week's tier take 50% reduced damage

Admin Rulings:

Sorey's Seraphim count as 0/week mercenaries for ability purposes. (9/17/2016, Week 41-E)

Sorey's sublord may not armatize with another Sublord if both Sorey and a sublord have been KOed-- Sorey must be involved in some way (10/25/2016, Week 45)
