Raiden (Metal Gear Solid)
Heroic Male Robot/Human
Upkeep: 6/Week
Min Bid: 80 GP
Team: Green Team (Eddv)
Formerly: Biggest Buds' Joint Effort (JC)
|
Raiden is as seen in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance with access to all of his weapons (save the Fox Blade) and upgrades available in that game. He doesn't require Zandatsu to recover. He has access to roughly one full bar of energy for Blade Mode and Ripper Mode. He has no mysterious lightning powers here, either..

|
Terrain: Shell 2 - The right half of the Big Shell complex, housing struts G-L. All struts are fully accessible.

|
It's time for Jack... TO LET 'ER RIP. (Start of Battle) - Once every four weeks, Raiden can stab himself through the gut to access unlimited Ripper Mode for the week.
UPGRADES:
(New Passive Ability; 25 EXP)
I AM LIGHTNING, THE RAIN TRANSFORMED (Passive) - Raiden randomly has the power to expel Lightning from his body in a limited capacity, as seen in Metal Gear Solid 4. Sure, whatever.
(New Start of Battle Ability; 35 EXP)
Naked Cartwheels (Start of Battle) - Once every seven weeks, Raiden can show up to battle mysteriously fully human, completely naked. He'll run and cartwheel around the terrain, desperately hoping to avoid being seen. If he makes it to the other end of the terrain, Snake will be there to give him his gear back -- in this case his exoskeleton and weaponry. For some strange reason, all the enemies after Raiden gets his equipment back will be using swords almost exclusively. All enemy mercenaries will have their weaponry replaced with blades for Honorable Samurai Combat.
(New Trigger Ability; 35 EXP)
Parry (Trigger) - Once every four weeks, Raiden can parry the first enemy ability of any kind to hit him, and has a 30% chance to return the blow as a KO on the enemy merc who uses the ability.

Admin Rulings:
Raiden's Parry counts as an interception effect, and as such is subject to rules in the Interception Effect Rules Reference as though Raiden's sword had intercepted the effect for Raiden and had a 30% chance to KO the enemy. No it didn't actually hit Raiden's sword for purposes of the battle write-up or being KOed, though the ability that was intercepted will still go on recharge as though it had been successful (and will still hit any other targets since the Sword only intercepts for Raiden). (1/5/2016, Week 14)
Yes it can be used if Raiden has lost his sword. And no, Raiden's sword can't be targeted by abilities and is not considered implicitly affected when Raiden or his team is hit by an ability. If you've come for bells and whistles I suggest a circus. (1/5/2016, Week 14)
